The Israel Guide Dog Center was established to raise, train and provide guide dogs for people with blindness and visual impairment in Israel, giving them independence, mobility and self-confidence. In recent years our activities have expanded. The IGDCB also trains service dogs for IDF veterans dealing with post-trauma (PTSD) and provides emotional support companion dogs for families and children with special needs. All services for our graduates are provided at no-cost.
The IGDCB comprises of a professional staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. It is the only organization in Israel that is a member of the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF).
We are also a member of Assistance Dogs International (ADI).
